" A Tribute to Sting and The Police"

Ticketed event. "A Tribute to Sting and The Police" will feature vocalist Michael Murnoch. Returning to Flat Rock Playhouse will be Ryan Guerra. Guerra has performed in previous productions at the Playhouse, including Music on the Rock tributes to the Beatles, Beach Boys and Neil Diamond, as well as For the Glory and Celtic Christmas. Alongside Guerra (guitar, violin, piano) and will be Michael Murnoch (vocals), Ryan Lassiter (drums), and Will Moss (keyboard) and Charles Holland (bass). Cost: $24. Miner's Heritage Day

Miner's Heritage Day is a fun-filled day in the mountains celebrating our rich mining history. The event will be held at Emerald Village near Little Switzerland, home of 7 real historic mines. Imagine what it was like for Katniss Everdeen, the heroine of Suzanne Collins' fictional blockbuster series; "The Hunger Games", when she had to survive in the strange and dangerous environment inside the Arena. What was safe to eat? Where could she hide? How could she make it through the night? Join Park Ranger Jamie Cameron on the Mills Creek Trail to discuss some of the tricks and techniques anyone can use to survive in the wilderness. Storytelling Hayrides: The People and History of Altapass

$6/person. Weather-permitting @ 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. & 4 p.m. 45-minute ride with stories covering subjects such as the early settlers, the coming of the railroad, the March of the Overmountain Men in the Revolutionary War, the catastrophic Flood of 1916, and some delightful tales passed along to storytellers, Bill and Skip Carson by people whose families date back hundreds of years in these parts. Tracks Music & Dance

Admission charge. Join owners Jack and Trish Freck each Saturday evening for music and dancing at the Tracks Event Center located just outside Old Fort. Black Light Underground Mine Tour

Ticketed Event. Black Light is the common name for ultraviolet light because it is invisible to human sight. Be amazed by the bright colors in the Bon Ami Mine revealed with short-wave ultraviolet lights.
