Along the Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway


 

There is lots to see and do along the Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway. The following links will help you plan your outdoor activities on your visit. Trails - Trails developed along the Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway. These trails are graded as to the degree of difficulty and if they are handicapped accessible. Pictured at left is the Groundhog Mountain Observation tower at Milepost 188.8. on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. Located near Fancy Gap, Virginia, this area will show you a good example of the many styles of split rail fences in the mountains.

Mid to late June is usually prime time for viewing the pink and purple blooms of rhododendron that blanket much of the Craggies.
