The P. Buckley Moss Museum, located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley in Waynesboro, Virginia, houses the permanent collection of P. Buckley Moss and offers a retrospective tour of her achievements in art and life. The collections include early religious art, the Virginia collection and other modernistic styles not commonly associated with Pat’s distinctive Valley Style. There are occasional special exhibits such as “Moss in Miniature,” currently on display until April 2011.
Pat has a phenomenal ability to communicate through her art. The daughter of a Sicilian-born mother and an Irish-American father, Pat developed her artistic interests at an early age. As a young student, Pat was labeled “un-teachable,” only to discover later in life that dyslexia was the cause of her learning difficulties. Today, Pat continues to paint and uses her images to support many charitable endeavors including that of her own foundation, The P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education.
Pat opens her Barn Studio four times a year to sign her work for collectors. The 2011 Open House and Barn Show events are: April 29th – May 1st, July 8th – 10th, October 7th – 9th and December 2nd – 4th.
