Exit the Blue Ridge Parkway at Milepost 412 and discover pure adventure. Winding down US 276 through Pisgah National Forest, you will enter one of Transylvania County's most iconic landscapes.

Along the way, you'll pass the Cradle of Forestry, Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls. The lush foliage and spectacular waterfalls may recall a storybook fantasy, but the opportunities for adventure and relaxation are very real.

In all, Transylvania County is home to over 150,000 acres of public lands, encompassed by Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest and Gorges State Park.

Of course, not all of our attractions are on the wild side. Just beyond the forest is the charming, historic city of Brevard, voted one of the "Coolest Small Towns in America," by Budget Travel. Here you'll find vibrant local art, culture, outstanding restaurants and the soaring melodies of the Brevard Music Center.
