If you’re in Boone, NC you don’t want to miss the New Years Eve Ball Drop at the Horton Hotel. The ball will drop from the rooftop lounge with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The Horton Hotel offers boutique, pet-friendly accommodations for the utmost in convenience.
Party on a snowy mountain by stopping by the Sugar Mountain Resort’s New Year’s Celebration for their free alpine torch light parade and fireworks open to the public at 11:45 PM – or make reservations for the whole night including live music, champagne toast, and indoor fun.

The all-ages Hillbilly Masquerade New Years in Clyde, NC in 2019 offered wholesome, old-time fun for a good cause. Hillbilly costumes were encouraged to enjoy dancing, chili, hot dogs, a cake walk and raffle, and a chance to see the Fines Creek Flatfooters. Kids under six were free and admission supports scholarships, community needs and Manna Food Bank.
