Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park: Byrd Visitor Center

Located in and managed by the Shenandoah National Park, the Harry F. Byrd Sr. Visitor Center is not on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is the next Visitor Center travelers on the Parkway will come to when continuing north onto Skyline Drive after exiting the Parkway at Milepost 0 in Afton, VA.

The Harry F. Byrd Sr. Visitor Center is located at Milepost 51 on the Shenandoah National Park’s Skyline Drive – please note that Skyline Drive uses a separate Milepost numbering system from the Blue Ridge Parkway’s Mileposts. There is a fee to enter Shenandoah National Park.
